This is CNN 10, and today we're going to explore the cloud forest, fly to the moon, and even a galaxy far, far away.

Greetings, rebel.

Along the way, we'll see a new species of cat, a 6- year-old breaking world records, and approximately 43 quintillion ways to solve a cube.

We turn on curiosity.

Time to start.

On this day, September 23, 1806, Lewis and Clark, Meriwether Lewis, William Clark, and their team returned to St.

Louis after one of the most famous hiking expeditions in American history.

They were away for 2 years, 4 months, and 10 days, traveling thousands of miles from St.

Louis up the Missouri River, through the Rocky Mountains, and eventually reaching the Pacific Ocean.

Then they decided to go back, on the return journey.

No GPS, no Google Maps, no Taco Bell, Chick-fil-A, In-N-Out, or McDonald's stops at that time.

Their maps were ones they created themselves, they kept extensive records, documenting hundreds of plants and animals , collecting geographical information, and Sacagawea, a young Native American woman traveling with an infant, served as an interpreter, helping the expedition communicate with the native peoples along the way.

When they reached St.

Louis, people greeted them on the riverbank.

Finally home, after more than two years of research.

Life lesson: it's not always important to know exactly where we're going.

Sometimes it's important to simply have the courage to explore.

In Los Angeles, the city of stars, the bright lights of Hollywood don't shine as often as they used to.

2026 is set to be one of the least productive years for the film and television industry in history.

Behind these numbers are real people, not just actors.

Think about decorators, lighting designers, sound engineers, stylists, makeup artists, small catering businesses, equipment suppliers, drivers, etc.

When production in Hollywood disappears, so do many people's earnings.

Our Natasha Chen will tell you more about this.

Films and TV series are no longer being shot as actively in Hollywood.

The decline is so dramatic that 2026 could be one of the worst years in terms of production .

I have only worked 3 days this year in this industry.

Jeremy Weiland transports production materials to film sets , but like many other Hollywood workers and small business owners, he has difficulty finding work.

This is a matter of dignity.

You want, you want to be useful.

You want to wake up early in the morning.

You want to work hard.

It's much quieter here than it was before, to be honest.

I spoke with economist Adam Fowler about the huge decline in production after the bursting of the streaming bubble and how it's cheaper to film in other countries with free healthcare and more affordable housing.

We're not going to stand here and pretend that the United States is suddenly going to get nationalized free healthcare , but what can be done about other cost-of-living issues?

We just need leadership that says, "To save Hollywood, we need affordable housing." This is the first time, whether during the mayoral election or the gubernatorial race, that this has become a topic of debate.

Um, and I think that finally got people's attention.

President Trump recently met with actor Jon Voight about the issue and is now promoting the first-ever federal tax incentive for film and television production.

We want to let everyone know about this because it affects the financial bottom line of the United States economy.

Wayland traveled to Sacramento to fight for better benefits in California, which, according to Film LA, has already helped bring back dozens of productions.

But if the overall situation continues to shift towards overseas alternatives, such as Australia or the UK, would you move to London?

Moving to London is actually quite difficult.

This, you know, getting visas, this is essentially a complete turn of your life upside down .

Scientists have discovered a new living species of wild cat for the first time in over 100 years .

Meet Tillo Cayo.

It lives in the Yungas cloud forests of Bolivia and belongs to a group of so-called tiger cats that live across most of South America.

Consider this another case of mistaken identity, as in 2017, the kitten was found by a local resident on a road near a forest that is often covered in clouds.

He tried to keep the wild cat as a pet , but then said, " Yes, I'll give this creature to the Senda Verde Wildlife Sanctuary in Bolivia." Researchers always suspected something was wrong: the animal weighed only about 1.3 kg, less than most domestic cats, but only this month, thanks to in-depth genomic analysis, they discovered that it was a new species.

Researchers say its large spots make it almost invisible in the wild, while its small, flattened snout, short, round ears, and long whiskers set it apart from others.

A relatively new battle scar has appeared on the Moon .

Scientists have found evidence of a collision with a space rock that occurred about 2 years ago.

In fact, it was like a violent collision.

NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter spotted this huge new crater, formed by a fragment of an asteroid or comet that crashed into the lunar surface.

They estimate it was the size of a five-story building, leaving a crater 43 meters deep and 222 meters wide.

That's more than two football fields across.

Researchers say it's the largest newly formed crater they've ever found in our solar system, and such collisions happen about once every 130 years.

The Moon has no atmosphere to slow down these space rocks, so — bang!

And there remains a big dent in the moon.

A 3x3x3 Rubik's Cube has 54 squares and six different colors, meaning there are only about 43 possible combinations.

And now about a child with movements so fast that they can injure their neck.

Six-year-old Liyan Yangjie from China broke the world record for solving a Rubik's Cube.

She did it twice in just three days.

Zhi Zhi took an average of 4.27 seconds to solve a 3x3x3 cube in five attempts, beating his own record of 4.52 seconds set two days earlier.

I can't even tie my shoelaces that fast.

I can't even unlock my phone that quickly, even though I use facial recognition.

She is the only female speedcuber in history to have an official average time of less than 4.5 seconds.

She started working out at just 4 years old.

His mother told CNN that Zhi Zhi trains for 2-3 hours every day and now knows over 1,300 addition algorithms .

And cubing gave her a lot of self- confidence.
